除災招福守（Josai-shofuku-mamori [amulet]）

大正9年（1920）の鎮座より100年にわたり、明治神宮の御神域の境界として、多くの参拝者をお迎えして参りました南参道鳥居（原宿口第一鳥居）は、令和2年（2020）に迎えた鎮座百年祭の記念事業として建て替えられました。
このたび、長きにわたる役割を終えた旧南参道鳥居の材（台湾檜）を用いて、あらゆる災いを除き福を招き入れることを祈念した「除災招福守」を奉製いたしました。
お守りに形を変えた鳥居の古材に、100年の星霜をお偲びいただければ幸甚に存じます。

The first Torii gate near Harajuku station, representing the boundary between the secular area and the sacred area, welcomed countless visitors for 100 years since Meiji Jingu was established in 1920. Recently, the Torii gate was rebuilt in commemoration of Meiji Jingu’s centennial celebration in 2020.
The wood from the former torii gate that had been standing for 100 years is now reused to make amulets to ward off calamities and bring in good fortune.
In the form of an amulet, we hope that the old wood from the torii gate will serve as a remembrance of these 100 years.
